All SCHERNING jewellery is handmade.

PORCELAIN is crafted in our Portuguese workshop. The porcelain mass is colored and cast into plaster molds for the finest small pendants. After the initial firing, they are individually glazed and fired again. Each pendant is then hand-decorated before the third and final firing.

ENAMEL is carefully applied to each piece of jewelry by hand, in our workshop in Copenhagen. The work is done by hand, resulting in natural variations from piece to piece.

STERLING SILVER consists of 925 parts fine silver and 75 parts copper. 100% fine silver is too soft to make durable jewellery, so this alloy is used between fine silver and copper. All our Sterling silver is stamped with a hallmark of 925 and our name stamp SCH is registered with the Precious Metal Control.

GOLD-PLATING is always in 24k fine gold, done in a traditional Danish workshop.

Our jewellery is 100% nickel-free.

SCHERNING is a Danish jewellery brand established in 2004 by designer Mette Scherning.

All SCHERNING jewellery is handmade in their own workshops in Copenhagen and Portugal - of very high quality.

The jewellery is sold in selected design and lifestyle stores in Denmark and several European countries, as well as in Japan, England, and the USA.
